About the Role:

Penkert Properties, Ltd. is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Central WI! We will also expect to travel 80% of your week across the state to Wausau, Marshfield, Merrill, Eau Claire, Tomah, Fond du Lac, to name a few locations. In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our apartment communities safe, functional, and a place residents are proud to call home.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance across multifamily apartment communities for the whole region
Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
Complete unit turns, including painting, patching, and general repairs to prepare units for new residents
Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and work orders
Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors to company standards
Inspect units and property regularly to identify and address potential issues proactively
Coordinate with property management on maintenance priorities and vendor scheduling

Requirements:

3+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or residential property management
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
HVAC/EPA 608 certification is a plus
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work orders efficiently
Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset when working with residents
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
